An exceptional 19th-century French Creil et Montereau porcelain plaque, finely painted with a Christening scene in the early 19th-century style. The large circular plaque is richly detailed, capturing figures in elegant attire with vibrant colors and expressive detail.
The plaque is indistinctly monogrammed and bears the printed Barluet & Cie marks, dating it to circa 1880. At 57 cm in diameter, it is a truly striking decorative statement.
